Micheal Klein, CEO of hedge fund manager of Pacificor LLC, had his life cut short over the weekend when his plane crash in Panama. His recent business success was a deal with Yahoo Inc estimated at $450 million. Klein oversee eGroups Inc., which is the world's largest e-mail communication service. eGroups Inc. was sold to Yahoo dot com at the peak of the dot com boom. People close to Klein, described him as being very hard working and clever. He was also very giving and humbled. Klein likes being around people who mirrored his image. Considerably bright, Klein graduated from college at a very young age of 17. He later founded two technology business company in the 1990s.
On the plane along with Micheal Klein was his daughter Talia Klein, 13, and Edwin Lasso, 23, the pilot of the plane who were also killed. The only lone surviver is Francesca Lewis, 12, who apparently suffered a broken arm and hypothermia. She remains hospitalized and doesn't remember much.
